The Park of la Devesa, that is located where the Gardens of la Devesa, is one of the largest urban parks in Catalonia. The centenarians Platanus that grow transform their appearance with the changing seasons, from a lush green in summer, a carpet of red leaves in autumn.
Every Tuesday and Saturday morning is being held in the traditional market of la Devesa. From the nearby natural area of les Ribes del Ter can be seen throughout the year, waterfowl and other examples of flora and fauna, what nesting or stationary. In this natural park that is located where the two buildings are held events and fairs in the city: the Auditorio y Palacio de Congresos, and the Fair Palace. Also within walking distance are the two jewels of the modernist city: the building la Punxa and the Farinera Teixidor, masterpiece of the architect Rafael Masó i Valentí (1880-1935). |
